Just been lowered!

Well finally i had a set of PI 35mm lowering springs fitted yesterday, and the transformation in both look and performance is fantastic! I just keep looking at the car out of the window,

Here are some before and after photos,

Let me know what you think?

Alex

Thats what all my mates have said R99, thanks everyone by the way.

I looked arround on the internet and could only find PI springs for over £110, then i thought give ebay a try, and i ended up paying only £90ish including postage cost from a guy who is constantly selling springs for the mini on there, its actually a propper business so you dont have to be worried about being ripped off, they arrived next day!!!

Looks super cool!! I'm thinking of having mine lowered too. Have a question though; Is it classed as a modification by the insurance companies, and if so, will it increase the insurance premium? Mark

Yes and almost certainly.

It was acceptable in the 80's

Excellent. I had the PI lowering springs on my Cooper, and funnily enough, the same wheels too...

Looks good Foxy Mini!

I dont have lower strut brace, im wanting to get an upper 1st but im sure i have enough room under the car to go over bumps ok, my friend has lowered his mini by 50mm and had the lower strut brace and it go's over bumps fine.

once you get the springs, is it easy to go and fit them? is it a long/laborious job? the reason i ask is because im really thinking of getting this done..

its not that much of a hard job, now i know how to do it, i would do it myself. it took 1.5 hours to fit the whole kit. all u need is a flat surface, a jack, axel stands flat head screw driver and a socket set, and a set of alan keys.

I couldnt recomend the 35mm PI lowering springs enough, get them from the guy on ebay and save £30-£40.

the only down side is that it makes u wnat to drive fast, so you can feel it go round corners faster.

The springs were delivered the next day aswell.
