Mini One Service

Hello There ladies and gentlemen,

Iam new to this forum after just purchasing my 52 reg Mini One , Its due a service at the beginning of January and i was just wondering if anyone knows how much it costs to get a Mini Service from the dealer.

Don't really know as my MINI's have always had TLC. Really we need to know what mileage it is and which service it requires. There are Oil, Inspection 1, and Inspection 2, they are all different prices.

This link may help to give you an idea. Your dealer will probably quote you more but you can use these as a bargaining tool.

You don't actually need to get it serviced. It's out of warranty now anyway aint it? Just take it to your local garage to get the oil changed. BMW will rip you off!

You dont even need to get your car serviced at BMW anymore, aslong as the garage you go to use the correct genuine parts you will keep your warranty.

However, it does look alot better having full BMW service history.

For me second service on 25000 km, regular inspection and change of all four brake plates cost me 600 euro !!!
Wich i think is toooo much!!!

This is what my dealer quoted in October, including VAT, parts and labour.

Oil service £130.91
Inspection 1 £216.46
Inspection 2 £307.77

I wonder what the book rate is for the number of hours required for the Inspection Services.

I don't know what your mileage is, but are you aware of the TLC XL package? I'm assuming that your TLC has expired. TLC XL covers you up to 8 years old and up to 80,000 miles. It costs £300 (or at least it did two years ago). Check with your dealer to see if you are able to buy it for your car.

For an inspection 1 service, I had AW totalling 17.50. I understand that an AW unit is five minutes. So I make that about 1h45m. I can't imagine it takes anything like that long.
