Gear box oil

Hi guys,

Am i right in thinking the gear box oil is seperate from the engine oil on a mini one??? I have the face lift model.

If not, how easy is it to change and can anyone recomend a good oil to put in as i want to look after the gear box!!!! ??

Cheers

normally the 2 oils are different on any model of car, do you have the handbook for your car as there is some advice in the back.

the oil is different from the engine oil and the grade you need is 75w 90 fully synthetic.

Its fairly simple to change.

I was planning on having this changed soon, not by myself, but if it isn't all that hard then I might give it a shot. I've read about the Redline branded stuff being good
