Door Mirrors

Sorry for all the questions but im new to all this :P

im looking at replacing the door mirrors
there currently all matt black.
if i were to just change the caps on the back of the mirror to astro black caps or maybe carbonfibre ones would it look silly as the arms would still be matt? am i best off getting new door mirrors?

Also are they easy to fit? (new mirrors and/ or caps)?

Hi princess i think the clips behind the mirror just need levering with a long straight head screwdriver.
put the mirror right down you can just see the clips behind.!!!!!

people say be careful bacause the clips can snap!! think theres 3or 4 clips??

I got some new chrome mirror caps off ebay think i payed £35 for them
make sure they tel you what year and model they fit coz when mine came they where 2nd gen ones now im stuck with them and no returns!!

dnt know about taking the full mirror off though????

You can only get different coloured caps, not the mirror arms.

for your car i think you should go with the chrome. it will match the rest of your car best!!

Im looking at some black ones on ebay....
however

im gonna sand, prime and repaint the current ones.... LIME GREEN Or BRIGHT PINK
so i can switch around occasionally :P


I like this Mini :P (the green mirror caps and the Stripes (not green alloys)


Some one said because im planning on getting chrome indicator grills to paint the old ones green :P

Thats very cheap! You'd pay about £70 from a dealer! And if you're handy with a screw driver you can change them yourself - just got to prise the clips loose!
