Ireland Few Questions

Hi All

Just joined so hopefully all you knowledgeable people can help me .

We collected our used Mini one yesterday its a 2003 with 69K on the clock . It drives fine apart from the steering wheel sitting at the 11 o clock position when driving in a straight line. We reckon thats down to the fact the wheels were changed by the dealer and tracking not done which they have gladly accepted to pay for. That leads me to my second concern the wheels are 17inch and tyres are 235 45 17 I read on the forum that the best tyre combo for 17ins is 205 45 17 ? Can someone please clarify this for me thanks in advance .

cheers

Googsy

235/45-17 tires are too large ... it exceeds the recommended ±3% variation from stock. The largest most people run is 215/45-17.

Thanks Gents for the reply. Brought back car to dealer and had tyres swapped . we got the tracking done separately and car drives much better. The steering wheel still sits at the 11 o clock position whilst driving straight. Is it possible to ajust this so steering wheel is centred or remove steering wheel? Had a similar issue before on a landrover and it could be fixed by adjusting something under the car any ideas? Thanks.
