No to white wheels and a BIG NO to Black. They always looked dirty.

Thats one thing I will say for black wheels, you need to keep them clean and your tyres shiny for the best effect. Chrome or polished rim is always best to break up the black wheel and tyre but they're hard to keep looking new!
