Dual rev/speedo counter needles below 0

Hello,

After replacing my old single rev with a dual cluster all was working fine, then after removing the battery to perform other work, the rev and speedo needles have dropped below 0, but move normally (but 1000rpm and 10mph less).

I've opened the cluster and moved them manually to 0, and it works, but after turning off the car for around 30min and then putting the key in the ignition it seems to drop them back down to below 0 again.

Any ideas how I can re-zero it successfully?

Thanks!

Note: The main central speedo remains at 0mph like it should.

I have Dual rev/speedo cluster ready to be fitted and was going to follow this guide below, not sure if any of the info will help you though:

Hi mab01uk, thanks for the link. I have read it before, unfortunately it didn't have the answer, but I managed to solve the issue last night.

I had to make sure the car re-zeroed itself (so they were below 0), and then remove and open the counter face. Then I removed the needles from the motor pins, and then put them back on pointing at zero. So now the clocks are at zero, and the needles reflect that too, so when the car next re-zeroes itself it'll be in the right position.

Phew!
