Audible alert when turning off engine

Hi,

I have a Mini One 2005 and love it. However, when I stop and switch off the engine I get an audible alert - four repeating beeps that stops after four or five times. This is different to the warning beeps if I have left the lights on etc.

I have searched the user manual with no success.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

- Mike

Have you got a Sony Stereo Head Unit fitted?
Does it sound di-do-di-do........di-do-di-do..... etc.

If so, it's the stereo reminding you to remove the detachable front.
It sounds like the car making the noise as the stereo's warning is played through the car's speakers.
