Re: New One owner - some questions 1. Don't think so 2. Yes, this has been replaced under warranty and the design has been changed on new cars 3. Not heard of it, if it was a recall wouldn't they have done it before you picked it up? 4. Sounds like a warranty job... seats can be problematic at times 5. Yes. No real performance gains but the sound is awesome Pipercross usually better for sound but probably no real difference. Whatever you fancy reallyWelcome to MINI2 Dom

Re: New One owner - some questions Hello Jimbob. In answer to your questions: 1) I've read on here before that there were a few that escaped the factory early on with out the paseenger seat being height adjustable. I think those that got cars like that got some refund. Perhaps ask your dealer if it can be retro-fitted unless of course they explained the fact it was missing before the sale. 2) Don't know sorry ? 3) Don't know what that it but the dealer should have checked of the car had any outstanding recalls on it before they sold it to you Any mod on the airbags should be done as soon as you can get it booked in.4) Other's have reported popping noises from the lumbar support. Get it fixed under warranty. 5) Don't have an aftermarket filter but some dealers are a bit iffy with regard to warranty work/TLC if your car is modded. Cheers, KenL

Hello Jimbob, 1. Our MINI ONE didnt get passenger seat height adjustment either. The original owner would have got something if they had asked for it. 2. Dont know, not heard this before. 3. If the dealer mentioned about the airbag light a problem may exist. Ask if the light has been disabled or if it is OK. If it has been disabled, the airbags will not work. If OK, only worry about it if the light comes on. A loom under the seats was the cause of a number of faults. 4. I remember a lumbar support problem on some seats, as KenL said, sounds like a warranty thing. 5. I think I would get the warranty work out of the way first. When you get these little things over and done with, you've got yourself a great little car. Was a 1, now 1 of 150 in a 40

my mini one with salt pack does have passenger seat height adjust as for the air filter dont put an induction kit on at start up they do boost power but once the engine is hot they suck warm air in. Warm air bad cold air good instead just get a drop in filter k&n pipercross or whatever no real odds what you get they are all pretty much of a likeness!!! As for anythin else you ask sorry havent got a clue Used to own a Mini One how I miss that car but once stolen was never the same. BMW 530i SE E60 BMW 116i SE

3. ur airbag mod, i`d step back an have a wee laugh, my airbag light came on, took me an a mate 20 mins to find wot it meant, then realised we had been driving round with a faulty airbag, loose connections (wires run under seat allover the place) and got either loose or un connected, i`d wotch out these cars can be dangerous considering BMW don`t do their job. LIke for example my brakes were making a wierd noise as i broke at slow speeds b4 my last service, took it in 2 weeks b4 service and they couldn`t find the problem the exact words were " i can`t hear the noise just now so it must not be a BIG problem thats urgent, oh well i say, funny how after the service they realised 2 brake disks were worn out and now i have one rusted alloy weel cause one of the brake disks were absolutely worn out and started shooting off dodgy brake dust that eroded the alloy, sorry to put a BUMMER on the room but i love the mini however i have experienced too much faults and failures and my opinion would have been slightly higher but considering the services BMW (duneden) provide to me has been more than just abysmal, it`s pathetic
