New Mini 1 owner

Hi all im a new member to the forums and im jst posting to say hi and to say that im getting my mini next week (huge grin on face).

The mini im getting is brand new but im just wondering if any one has found anything that i should look out for on my car (no matter how small the problem) as im gonna be giving the car a good looking over b4 i sign on the dotted line u c. or shall i shut up thinking bout the worst and start driving the damm thing..

Bonnet Stripes
Chrome Bits on the exterior
Manual Air con
Salt Pack
Mini TLC
CD player with boost

What do you think?

The get together’s sound really cool, ill see what I can do when I get my mini ..... (i still cant stop Grinning)

Nice spec Suggest you check the tyre valve caps so when they go missing after a week, you wont blame your dealer

Thanks guys (and gals) for making me feel at home, im getting sooo excited now i dont know what to do with my self. o yea i forgot to ask also, has your mini made u popular amoung your freinds and complete and utter stangers, cos all my freinds (and some of there freinds which ive never known about)want to know me now since ive told them im getting a mini.. hmm do i sense that they will be wanting lifts everywhere... grrrr

Well I think you made the right choice in colour
Sounds great and WELCOME TO MINI2

Check for paintwork marks scratches or dints etc, check the interior for the same, also check the engine (make sure it's there) for leaks etc..
Don't forget it's your money so if it's not right don't accept it your paying for it

I don't know what the record is for valve caps going missing but to stop the little TWOCers nicking them do the following. After you've cleaned your car put a little clear grease on the valve caps - no matter how hard they try they won't get them off!!!!

Hi everybody.
What does a MINI One costs in GB?
In Denmark a MINI One costs 242.000 DKK = 32.052,98 Euros

Today's exchange rate is 1 Euro = 0.70007 GBP / 1 GBP = 1.42843 Euro, so I make that about £22,439! Is that definately right??? If so what does an 'S' cost?

The prices without options as per www.mini.co.uk are:-
One £10,405
One D £11,390
Cooper £11,705
Cooper S £14,605

Using the stuff on the site the most expensive One I could "build" cost £20,135. There must be some serious tax on cars in Denmark!
