should we have on board computer - MINI Cooper Forum

My wife and I picked up our mini 1 last saturday (25 oct 02) which is quite high on the spec list it has got the salt pack (which did include silver dash) but to my surprise it does not have an "on board computer" which is part of the salt pack??? have we been cheated??, other than that we are made up with our new baby

Do you have the OBC button on the end of your lights stalk. It may just be that the display hasn't been activated. If you have the button, hold it in for 10sec.

I'll try, is it the end of the stalk or do we need to have a button on top?? we don't have a button on top?

What date is the build of your mini ?, obc part of salt after 1st Sept, check build month under bonnet on left hand side near to windscreen res. My D Sept build has it , but S Aug build hasn"t.

its aug 03 so we must of just mist out (bol*@ks) oh well trading up to an S next year so maybe then?
