Do I have the on-board computer?

I've just noticed that I have the on-board computer button on the indicator stick. However, pressing it only reveals the outside temperature and the current speed. I have tried turning the ignition to position 1, but I can't seem to get any of the other information.

I didn't order the on-board computer, but for a moment it looked like I may have it. Do I, or do MINIs have the button as standard now (it's a January 2004 build)?

Many thanks in advance.

Me either. It sort of looks like I do, but at the same time like I don't, if that makes sense...

The button is standard. But you can get much of the on-board computer info via an alternative method that has been described elsewhere on this site!!!

If you look under FAQ & DIY you will find instructions in the last item under the heading Interior and In Car Entertainment (ICE).

Thanks for the replies.

Does having the button on the indicator stalk therefore make retro-fitting the on-board computer easier then? I've read the guide on how to fit the computer and I notice that a different button was installed rather than replacing the indicator stalk.
