Engine almost stalls - MINI2

HI there,
I have a MINI one with the automatic transmission.
When the engine is cold (in wintertimes) and I stop the engine almost stalls.
How is this possible and how can I resolve this problem?

I seem to remember reading that it's a software issue. If you take your MINI to your local dealer, they'll update the software, which will stop this happening.
