Aerokit fitted.... Pictures added bottom of 1st page.

Hey guys, just had the Aerokit fitted to my ONE on Thursday at Damon Hill in Leamington. I am very impressed with the agressive looks of the body kit. I especially love the colour coded side skirts I only have one picture of it so far but I will get some more for you ASAP. (sorry about the quality- phone pic).

I must mention that I was impressed with the service I received from the Damon Hill dealership. Customer service was excellent and they were even kind enough to drop by my old bumpers at my flat the next day in their delivery truck FREE OF CHARGE.

p.s. If anyone wants some solid black '05 bumpers and side skirts give me a shout!

Yes, I thought yours was the order Matt's did when I read the post.

I was involved in the transaction too. When your kit arrived, I spoke to service to get them to book you in.
Most of the time, things move like a well oiled machine between the numerous different people involved and I'm pleased that this particular order was completed in well oiled machine style.

Thanks for the compliment on the car, BTW.

It looks great Alex.

I was about to order the Aero kit for my car a couple of months back, but thanks to MINI stopping the production of cosmos metallic black, the kit is no longer available in this colour, meaning I have to pay for spraying, bringing the total to a completely ridiculous £1,800!

No probs!

Do you reckon the Mini Sports exhaust is any good Steve? I guess you have heard them in action? (Not chavy I hope).

Cheers mate.

No way! I did not know they had stopped Cosmos Black. That is a real bummer. Could you get it sprayed else where? You could also look out for people selling the kit second hand (it must happen).

I will put some better pictures up tomorrow when I have access to the office camera!

I may not be Steve, but from what I've read, people seem to like the MINI sports silencer - both the looks and the sound. However, at £400, I definitely would not buy it. It's not even stainless steel! For around £230, you can get a lovely stainless steel Milltek exhaust that isn't boy racer in the slightest IMO. I've got one on order at the moment, and it should hopefully be with me next week!

I could get it sprayed elsewhere, but it's hassle. My best bet is, as you say, to see if I can find one second hand, but it's difficult. I don't think cosmos metallic black is a very popular colour, hence the withdrawal by MINI.

The official Sports exhaust is very nice. Sounds great, quite a bit louder, pops and burbles on letting off the accelerator, but stops quite a way short of CHAVness. I'd recommend it anyway.

Well ordered mate The sub contractor you get to do the Viper Stripes is very good! The stripes were originally fitted in Reading where I got the car but the quality was a bit suspect around the boot with a few air bubbles. I found to my delight that the stripe in question was removed and a fresh stripe added, without me asking for it to be done! I love how the stripes go right to the bottom of the bumper.
