Cars on a 51 plate. The plate under the bonnet says Sept 01. Being a Cooper i guess it has Sport suspension but because it came with chili pack does that automatically mean its fitted with SS+. I really want to add FSD suspension but it says 03.02> is FSD an option i can or can it simply not be done.
EDITED: Sorry Koni FSD shocks....
Thanks

You can check the thickness of the front anti roll bar to see what suspension is fitted. If its 22.5mm thick it has SS, if its 24.0mm thick it has SS+. Hope this helps, regards Damian.
MINI changed the top mounts and position of the front anti-roll bar mounts on the dampers of 2002 onwards cars (coinciding with the Cooper S launch) because of complaints of some (not all) earlier cars pulling to one side.
There was no change to the actual bodywork of the 2002 cars, so if you buy the newer style front suspension top mounts and different length anti-roll bar drop links, you can use suspension kits designed for the 2002 onwards cars on an earlier car.
As an aside, around this time they also changed the position of the rear exhaust silencer box mounts on the Cooper/One, which annoyed the hell out of the aftermarket manufacturers!
