Another GTT upper strutbrace here (in Black).

Yes it's more expensive than others on the market, but I believe you get what you pay for

Recommended addition to all Mini's

ok

GT 260 so what your saying is that the only real option it to do the omp and GTT lower plus the GTT upper

or only do the GTT upper as its the most significant?????????

My conversation with Roland the other day, was to do the GTT upper first and then take it further with the lower if you think it needs it.

DIY Clearer explanation...

OK. to be exact, here is what i mean....

1) The strutbrace with the most noticeable benefit is the GTT upper strut brace. I could go on for ages as to why, but trust me, it's the only one i have ever seen in 5 years that really braces the chassis - it's excellent.

2) If you are focussing on strut braces, then the next ones to apply would be the two lower braces, front and mid. GTT do a mid brace, GTT and OMP do a front brace. I believe the GTT front lower brace is of a slightly higher grade design - sturdier - than the OMP. and for efforts sake, just prob best going GTTx3 anyway.

3) The rear 'brace' is a bit naff really as it doesn't attach to anything significant enough to actually brace. It's more of a marketing ploy for people who have a brace fetish so to speak

Cheers,
K.

I can't add anymore to what GTT260 has said - I also have the 3 x GTT struts and they are fantastic.

The quality is second to none - I opened my bonnet for my mate to see and he could only say wow as he stroked the black brace!

After reading all the posts singing the praises of the GTT Aerobox strut brace on here, I decided to bite the bullet and went down to Blandford to see the GTT boys yesterday. All I can say is, WOW. This thing is almost worth fitting for looks alone It's not just good looking though, it's also got the 'go' to match the 'show', it makes a real difference to cornering confidence.
Get one, you won't regret it

Hi All,

Reading all of your posts, i am quite tempted to purchase an upper and lower strut brace kit for my Mini one. The question is: How effective are they? I mean, can you notice the difference straight away? (Bear in mind its for the road use only, unless i feel tempted to do a track day!)

So the question is; do they effect the handling enough to warrant buying one? or are they more for racers who push the car to the edge?

Would be helpful to know, because i have seen a set on ebay: eBay.co.uk: BMW MINI ONE COOPER S STRUT BRACE BAR (SUSPENSION KIT) (item 200101587059 end time 26-Apr-07 09:04:32 BST)

Would they be any good?

Thanks

Robbie

speed is not the issue.......

If you flick the wheel left and right quickly then you'll benefit from a strut brace. It's all about the technicality of the drive, as opposed to the 0-60.

As for the ebay link you provided - great marketing, naff product. May as well have a length of rope in there.

Cheers,
K.

The only place to purchase GTT goods is from GTT themselves.

You may find them 2nd hand, but GTT parts don't come up for sale very often.
