R53 Springs and Dampers

Found a set of brand new front Cooper S springs and dampers. Am I right in saying these will be the Sports Suspension Plus items as the Cooper S comes standard with this setup? Also will these fit my R50 Mini One (is it also a reasonably easy job and could I do it myself?) and will I notice much of a difference in handling and ride comfort?...mainly handling. Cheers

As far as I know they will be the same as the ones on your ONE. Someone with a better technical knowledge than me may correct me, but all the suspension options share the same springs and dampers. The difference between them is the size of the sway bars I think. Wait for the techies, don't spend your money just yet

the springs are definately different, dunno about the dampers, (hope so cos i changed mine to S ones when i lowered it!) all the springs and dampers are the same sizes and mountings etc so will fit all models

It is a job that can be done at home, you will need a trolley jack, a set of axel stands, a decent socket set, and the all important spring compressors

if you have all these and a decent area to work in it can be done, I did mine but it was a bit of a pain to do!
