Had front Bushes changed

Has the front lower wishbone and lower engine mount bushes changed by a local garage today - and apart from the torque handling reduced what other benefits should I see...

and how important is it that I get the wheel balanced/tracking aand alignment checked again?

Will this also make a difference to the handling?

I have also had the gearbox oil changed to redline - let's see how this is - I haven't had a chance to open my MCS' lungs yet - but will do on the way home from work...

ok so drove it a bit last night and all seems a bit better - ride is steadier and more stable on the road which is good.

but the turn in is not that greatly improved - could this be due to something else not being right? Bearings?

I did mine... but my tracking and balancing was out before hand.

This is the most unprofessional bit of site management I have seen since I was banned from a certain other site...at least they had the excuse that they were enthusiasts who had strong views and not professionals paid to keep thier cool!

All depends on how bad your bushes where before hand for you to notice a huge difference.

yes - changed to Superflex bushes...

Running stock/standard suspension...actually I should test the suspension to see if it is ok...

But I have noticed when trying to park in a car park the other day, at full lock to the left, a knocking/clicking noise which seemed like it was coming from the left wheel area...

I just wonder if the bearings now need to be checked/replaced...

DIY

Was it a knocking/clicking noise when the wheels are turning while on full lock ? if so sounds like a cv joint needs replacing on the end of your driveshaft.
