suspension issues

Good morning mini2 members,

I've got an 03 s. I've replaced the control arm bushings and ball joints. The problem that persists is a very sloppy, almost like driving on water feeling. The nose feels like it's taking a dive and when I go around turns, for freeway ramps for example, the front rolls a bit and the traction control kicks in and basically tells you to slow down. The strut tower mounts are shot and I will be replacing those as well, regardless of if they are the culprit. I hope you guys can shed some light so this mini doesn't turn into a money pit.

Again, I've replaced bushings and ball joints with brand new ones. I want to get this sloppy feeling taken care of before I drop more cash on tires and an alignment.. Make the mini what it's famous for because right now its a chore.

Strut tower mounts, shocks, coil springs assemblies, this will cause you to wander, bounce, dive, porpoise around if they are worn or damaged. Affect your braking and stability on the road.

Have a look at this youtube video to check if the tower itself is also damaged,

It sounds like a front shock absorber failure, maybe just one, but change them in pairs. if you're doing the top mounts the shock is coming off anyway so check them before stripping perhaps?
