Green Cooper Pipercross Viper induction

Pipercross Viper induction - Is it so loud???

I want to make my car sound like it has presence and have a nice grunt everywhere it goes but not a bloody hurricane like you get on old saxos and clios, remember, I am driving a respectable good looking mini one!

No you'll be fine as long as you keep the cold air feed on as that encapsulates the sound slightly, although above 4000revs you can really start to hear it!
Take the cold feed of however and its insane!

Got mine for £50 off ebay, sprayed some cleaning oil on it and its fine!!! Sound great, more like a purring V6 under the bonnet than some boy racer rusted through exhaust!!!

No, a MINI ONE!
What do you mean 'keep the standard one and takes 5 mins to switch over, same with tlc package and warranty.'

Hi,

Put an aftermarket manifold on. It is not as obvious as the induction kit and will improve the exhaust note of the car. Then get a panel filter and a remap which will change the power (+30 bhp on a one) and the sound of the engine at higher revs. It will have a deeper throatier note to it hence you will get a better sound.

as Andrey says below a manifold is a sneaky option as is the chip on the One which gives quite a bit more induction noise

as the for the airfilter, the insurance companies really don't tend to bother about them, my mate stuffed his S with an Alta on and they weren't bothered, maybe he was lucky I don't know but I really can't see them being too fussy about it

the other option is don't crash
