So I finally broke down and made a fully open exhaust for track days. Now I just drop the whole JCW
system out from the flange to the rear tips and install a straight pipe that ends behind the rear axle but before the battery box with a 90° turn tip at the end.
Not strictly "racing legal" as it should end outside the perimeter of the car but hey, who's counting. Its only support is bolted onto one set of existing bolt holes for the center plate that supports the stock exhaust. Sounds WICKED!
Gonna try it this weekend at a local Paris circuit (Carole) where I will be giving rides to the masses as part of the TELETHON for the handicapped
