| Morning Guys, some good input over the weekend I see. (thanks). Here are some pics of the car we did. I think its the later type as has this nasty squashing of of the pipe mentioned. I think it is there for the same reason they do it on 05 onwards stock MCS's. ie. to clear the bracing bars used on the convertible. -That is IMO realy cutting corners on production costs. Holy smoke this is meant to be a performance exhaust! As I've said before kinks are also a convenient way for a manufacturer to 'shut the thing up a bit' without using bigger & better silencers. If you use our GTT ReRoute Pipe (ps they only fit STOCK system) on a later car which has the kink, the kink is removed anyway! This is because we use a longer Re Route Pipe to 'lose' the kink. In fact we can even get it to fit the convertible 'brace bars 'n all' (some GTT wizardry is applied ).IIf you have an 05 stock MCS the gain may be even greater than those in post 1 ,as the '05 cars (I believe ?) will measure slightly worse to start with. The car used originally had a JCW 210 conversion, the JCW pulley was replace with GTT -17%. Best Regards Roland GT Tuning |

| Shame that admiral etc. don't (or at very least, not in people's experience on here, mine included) even cover any non-standard parts on a like for like basis (such as chili pack, aircon etc), let alone any performance extras. They'll insure you for these nice bits, but their T&Cs state they'll pay out for standard parts only. But this is off-topic really, sorry Roland. |
