A picture's worth a thousand words and better than my memory, as I seem to have over stated it's kinkiness, at the kink exit.

Again, I'll ask, which is best , JCW exhaust with kink or regular MCS exhaust without? Maybe it's the, not so kinky, "one ball". I figure the worst has to be a kinky new, post MCSC, exhaust.

Nice pic thanks.
I have been wondering what the fuss was. Now I know.

Morning Guys, some good input over the weekend I see. (thanks). Here are some pics of the car we did. I think its the later type as has this nasty squashing of of the pipe mentioned. I think it is there for the same reason they do it on 05 onwards stock MCS's.
ie. to clear the bracing bars used on the convertible. -That is IMO realy cutting corners on production costs. Holy smoke this is meant to be a performance exhaust!
As I've said before kinks are also a convenient way for a manufacturer to 'shut the thing up a bit' without using bigger & better silencers.
If you use our GTT ReRoute Pipe (ps they only fit STOCK system) on a later car which has the kink, the kink is removed anyway! This is because we use a longer Re Route Pipe to 'lose' the kink. In fact we can even get it to fit the convertible 'brace bars 'n all' (some GTT wizardry is applied ).I
If you have an 05 stock MCS the gain may be even greater than those in post 1 ,as the '05 cars (I believe ?) will measure slightly worse to start with.
The car used originally had a JCW 210 conversion, the JCW pulley was replace with GTT -17%.
Best Regards Roland GT Tuning

Well I've been investigating insurance quotes for my S with a few GTT goodies, and the hike isnt as bad as I was expecting (I'm only 20), so you might well get your hands on a Milltek very soon Roland!

Well I'm with Admiral already, so they're the only ones I've bothered to enquire to. The is cost is till astronomical mind, compared to what these old boys pay, but I guess I'm just used to it now.

Shame that admiral etc. don't (or at very least, not in people's experience on here, mine included) even cover any non-standard parts on a like for like basis (such as chili pack, aircon etc), let alone any performance extras. They'll insure you for these nice bits, but their T&Cs state they'll pay out for standard parts only. But this is off-topic really, sorry Roland.

Yup, well aware of this. No option at my age, really. And yes, sorry Roland, no more insurance talk.

Seriously. But this is way off topic, and already in the insurance forum.
