what does Mini use for transmission oil for the MCS - MINI Cooper Forum

I just wanted to know what Mini uses for transmission oil for the MCS. I have an 05 MCS with a 6 speed manual. I wanted to top off my transmission oil since I've read in other threads of the letter that mini sent early 05 MCS owners that they need to have the dealer top off their transmission oil since some was suspected as having been low of the factory. or has any one switched their transmission oil to amsoil transmission fluid or redline? thanks.

The latest Bentley manual for the '04 calls for Long Life Fluid MTF94 for Cooper and S.

Wouldn't it be wise to check to see if it needs topping off first?
