New to the forum: Question about pulleys

Hi all! My Girlfriend just bought a new 2006 Mini Cooper S Automatic. I've been reading through your forums and have a few questios about both an overdriven Crank and reduced Supercharger Pulley. Would it be safe to run say a 17% reduced pulley with an overdriven crank pulley without tuning? I will eventually get some sort of chipping done, I have some friends in the VW community that can get good prices on it, but for now, would like to do pulleys.

Any and all information on these topics would be much appreciated and if these questions have been asked already, please forgive me and point me to the right direction.

Thanks!

By the way, this whole chipping and supercharged stuff is all new to me. I'm a Nissan guy and only have some experience in turbocharging.

You can run a 19% reduction supercharger pulley without an ECU remap.

What percentage crank pulley are thinking about running?

Going beyond 17% + 2% is venturing into uncharted territory.
