South Africa JCW 147kw and 154kw, difference in engine bay?

Can anybody please tell me if its possible to tell the difference between the 147kw and 154kw JCW by just looking at the engine, i think a car dealer is trying to flog me the 147kw, insisting its the 154kw one?

The only change in the JCW cars available in the last 2 years or so is the addition of the JCW airbox. The standard airbox on a 200bhp JCW is a simple black plastic box about the same size as a car battery compartment. Its square and straightforward. The newer more powerful JCW kits use a different airbox - and it has a JCW badge stuck on it. Its also not square, more a molded shape. This is available on the current JCW cars as standard, or retro fit to older JCW cars. Its been available about 18 months in the UK, a bit less elsewhere. This is the 210bhp car.

SOrry to hear that they tried to rip you off. You could alays purchase it and then get the JCW kit upgraded to the 154kw kit?? IF you dont mind me asking, what dealer was it?

MINI, it is a way of life.
