Alta Pulley Install?

Okay... I live in Japan and I'm thinking about importing an Akta 19% Pulley. The only thing is that most aftermarket Mini installers here won't touch it. If I get the pulley, I'll have to do the install myself. My question is simple. What's involved when you do it by yourself?

I have access to a well equiped garage, but I'm not really a mechanic and don't pretend to be one. I think I'll need the Alta pulley removal tool as well, right? Do I need a new belt too?

Anyways, I want to do this, but it's scary. I also have a Alta Intake installed, but that needs to come out to install the pulley, right?

help???

Here's the best how to I know of.

Randy Webb's pulley how to

You will need a pulley removal tool and a belt tensioner tool as well.
ALTA sells the pulley removal tool but I don't think they have the tensioner. You might need another source for that.

EDIT.
Curse you FAQ man

Wow... Looks hard. I wonder if i can get Randy to come to Japan and train me how to do it... That way I could be his Japanese parts distributor.

Given the instructions maybe a mechanic can help you.

Yeah... I suppose I could translate the instructions easily, but I think most mechanics would be hesitant...

You need a special pulley removal tool I think. Check this site out www.lohen.co.uk

They can explain what is needed if you mail them, Nick and Andrey are very helpful!

The Haynes repair manual shows an easy way to make a belt tensioner removal tool if that will help you. Steve

just out of curiosity, do they have any type of pulleys in Japan? Because, pulley is pulley, there is really not a big deal with Alta, they all serve the same purpose. Instead of going through all that hassle, why don't you have them install one and you can save time and money. Unless, there is other things i don't know....
