This is a pretty contreversal question but why would you either go down the
JCW route or other manufacturers that offer greater BHP gain? Apart from the money and warranty question.
Why do JCG only offer 210 max warranty covered, but others are willing to offer much greater BHP gains, plus I assume guys like GTT, Lohen etc offer their own warranty.
I assume it is BMW working on their side of caution, 210 is what they consider a reliable figure.
At the end of the day these 210 - 260 odd BHP are quite amazing figures for a 1.6, personally I wouldn't buy a second hand mini that had been tuned by an after market dealer, unless it came with a reasonable warranty/guarantee.
BTW. I have a
JCW 210, that is only 6 months old but I am considering GTT for more BHP, because of all the good things I have read about the here! Plus I would prefer to go with a company with some sort of racing background, which I assume they have?
