| where to install oil pressure gauge Hi guys, just a question about installing an oil pressure gauge. Does anyone know where to install it in the engine bay? I have seen a picture somewhere on this forum where there should be a place to install it, somewhere at the left top of the mini logo in the engine, but If I look there at my Cooper S, i see the oil filter??? Maybe someone who has done this can help me out, or show me a pic of it. Also it would be nice to know what the thread size is of the sensor to use. | Located on the oil filter housing,bottom part of the housing is an existing pressure switch,this is removed and a T piece fitted .Then refit the existing pressure switch to one side and your new pressure switch to the other side. BMW part no 118360 is a fitting for testing the oil pressure with a remote gauge ,buy one of these and use the smaller thread to fit T piece to--easy eh Adam |
