Thumbs up GTT MCS induction kit

I recently purchased and installed the GTT induction kit on my MCS.

What a great piece of kit; installed in 10 minutes, excellent build quality and makes a lovely noise.

I previously had a Pipercross kit installed that I was never 100% happy with but the GTT kit is superb.

Roland was great to deal with, very helpful.

I am now very tempted by the GTT220 conversion (will probably hold off until my warranty runs out).

Sounds great ! (no pun intended!!)

I too am desperately holding off on the 240+ bhp mod for my JCW 210.

Glad that you like the CAI.

I'm looking at the cam shaft upgrade, but also thinking that if i get that done, then why not get the cylinder head ported for £750 too

This game is too addictive !!

Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing...

Rigsey

did you fit it yourself?

I may get the GTT CAI to tide me over til i can get the GTT220 conversion...

easy to do yourself?

Roland - just wondering if the price of the packages that include the CAI are amended at all to cater for those who have already purchased the CAI off you and already have it fitted?

cheers all

The GTT CAI fit easily in minits and yes if you have any parts already fitted the conversion cost comes down

Hi Chew

I completely agree with Jaffa.

The CAI took me about 10 minutes to install and Roland confirmed when I purchased the CAI that the price will be deducted from the GTT220 conversion price when I decide to upgrade :-)

As I understand several users have reported good dyno results but these are hard to quantify without before and after dyno plots for the same car in similar conditions i.e. each car is different.

To me the performance feels more urgent/keener, a little smoother and the extra sound is excellent :-)

I cannot see how improving a cars breathing cannot improve any cars performance especially when forced induction is involved.

As Rigsey says hard to quantify, throttle response seems better and a little more urgent through the gears & ohh the noise.

White325 cost me £100 2nd hand bt see www.gttuning.co.uk for the full sweet shop ;-)

...Should be even better now wev'e put 2 large holes through the plastic divider to get more air into the airbox....Oh and the GTT220 weve also added helps to!
Interestingly where this car was only pulling air from the front ,the filter was notably dirtier than usual.(as is the case with stock filter), With the extra vents to the area at the base of the windscreen they stay much cleaner. This indicates that the bulk of the air is coming from this area.- This is good as not only is it more 'dirt free' but slightly colder to.
Best Regards Roland GTT
