I've had the Cosworth Stage 2+ [with crank pulley] for about 9 months now, and I LOVE it. It is FAST. If you're around Florida, by any chance, I'd let you drive it for sure. I'll answer any questions anyone has as well. The kit is solid and they have just debuted a new, improved head with even better throttle response [wish I had that, too!]. Their new trick pearl white Cosworth car is just down the street from me, and I'm gonna get a test ride any day now, so I can tell you about that, too . Anyways, what would you like to know? If you wish, I can answer the questions here or by pm/email. Cheers!

Ingsoc, I'm going to be in the Port St. Joe area in a couple of weeks. Is that anywhere near you? I'd love to check out your car!

I LOVE PSJ. They have some AMAZING beaches. It's not that close, though, since it's out west in the panhandle. I'll probably be in Gainesville, then, which is a few hours away. When exactly will you be there? I may be able to come by and meet you. You'd certainly be welcome to visit, if you could. PM or email me. We'll figure something out!

Cheers

I had the v1, and it was a bit louder but much cooler sounding than stock. In the cabin, with heatshield, it was quieter than an Alta or similar un-shielded intake. It gave some power, but I didn't have another CAI on my car previous to that, so I couldn't compare for my car. It sounded much sweeter than the Alta shrill. I'm waiting to get the new v3. Have you seen the videos posted on NAM of it? It sounds even SWEETER, since it's now made of aluminum and even freer-flowing. And, I'm hearing that it gives noticeably better performance, too. Hands down, it's the best-performing CAI now. Of course, it comes at a higher price... . Anyways, I totally recommend it.

edit: look here at pics of the v3 vs. stock: http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...3&postcount=36

yea Ive heard them on NAM and just on the sound I'm definatly going to get it! only thing is shipping to the UK there is a supplier and it looks like ill have to get it from them for £300 for just the system on a standard throttle body but almost £500 for a M7 Throttle body! gotta start saving!

they ran a stock throttle body on the 500hp mini dragster, so do you really think the 1-2mm M7 throttle body makes a difference on a 170hp car?

we even dyno'd the 63MM TB and it made 1-2hp for $400 .... you can do the math

1-2HP on what motor?
Stock or well modded?

I find it that that with all the debate about this mod no one has ever put the TB on a flow bench and proven it's rating.

I'm with you though. Big waste of money compared to other mods that cost the same and do more.

we have tested them on both types...

let's do the math here.... $50 to modify the TB you send in and $399 price tag to sell it back to you.... great marketing gimmick
