NEW! Exedy Hyper Single Clutch with Lightened Flywheel

Exedy Hyper Single kits are designed in the shadow of the OEM parts and are guaranteed to fit the first time and give long lasting results that you expect from a superior clutch. The Hyper Single Clutch combines a forged aluminium cover plate, cerametallic drive plate and chrome-moly flywheel in one kit. This is a complete upgrade for your drivetrain (except the differential), and the whole kit weighs in at only 9.98kg compared to 15.6kg as standard.

The Hyper Single has a forged aluminium cover that is anodised purple, it is stiffer than a stamped cover and therefore allows a higher lever ratio to maintain the pedal efforts (feel/firmness) at a reasonable level. The aluminium cover plate also reduces load deflection compared to the standard pressed metal type cover, hence providing a better clamping load for the drive plate. A cerametalic drive plate is used to transfer the drive and it can withstand 300ft/lb of torque at the flywheel. The Hyper Single Clutch is engineered to optimise performance of cars that have been moderately modified, but do not require the clutch capacity of multi-plate clutches.

The kit also includes a chrome-moly flywheel which only weighs 5.8kgs (12kg standard) therefore allowing the engine to rev faster. This improves throttle response and makes the car more willing to accelerate. There is no release bearing supplied with the kit as you can use the standard item.

- We will supply you with flywheel bolts when you purchase this kit -

Note: Unfortunately this product is only available for Cooper S, Cooper S Works, Cooper S GP models.

Price: £998 inc.vat

And on that note I think it's probably a good idea if we stop hijacking this thread!

Hi,

Unfortunatelly this kit is only available as a "kit". Also the clutch or more importantly the cover plate would not bolt to a Fidanza flywheel.

But the kit is pretty brilliant!!!

Question Comparison

Can you make any comparison with the Helix clutch?
Have you fitted the Exedy to your track car, how does it perform over time? Any fitting issues?

Full of questions today

Cheers,
K.

We've got two kits arriving this week one for a customer and one for our One which we'll be testing at Easter.

It'll be intreasting to see if we make any gains over the Helix which we are currentley running.
