Yellow Cooper New Ignition system (FITTED)

Tonight i am fitting a 40,000 VOLT IGNITION COIL PACK and LIVE WIRE IGNITION LEAD SET.

Looking forward to see if there is any performance advantage in this mod.

Will take a few pics of the process.

Yellow Cooper

Right.
Last night i changed all the bits.

What a mission.
Un-screwing the coil is easy but getting the lead disconnected was a mission on mine for some reason.

All screwed in fine.

Test drove it after.

Theres no huge difference in much but i would say its smoother.

I am still running standard spark plugs so will upgrade these soon and see what happens then.

Summary:

changed:
coil pack from standard to 40,000 volt.
Upgraded ignition leads to livewire.

Noticeable differences:
smoother acceleration.

Ive had this on for a while now let me know if you get interferance on your radio (FM)
I do sometimes and i cant use my Laser dectector because everytime i accellerate it goes off (origin B2)
I think it might be my leads ,
I couldnt tell you if it is a good mod ( i dont think there is any extra BHP but a better smoother spark) also i had loads of mods done at the same time (Bluefin remap 3 % bigger lighter crank pulley)

We stock the Screamin Demon 40,000volt coil and Live Wire Leads as raved about on this thread!
No interference problems etc with this set up . We keep it all in stock ,the leads we have in blue or black. Its nice kit (thats why we stock it). We always run it with NGK Iridium Sparkplugs at standard gap. Nice & smooth, no misfires economy possibly a little better? Emission lights stay off more too , so must be doing something.
BTW the suppression is in the plugs on the Mini (R=Resistor,) so interference could be a poor connection or a plug fault?
Best Regards Roland GT Tuning
