| any aftermarket exhaust will be more free flowing but the popping is more down to the characteristic of the engine setup than the exhaust. the cooper doesnt pop much but it can be made to do it at low revs or the best way is by revving to 4000rpm & feathering back. an exhaust change will just make it sound louder |

| best is fit a aftermarket exhaust (milteck play mini or janspeed) and if youve got the cash a better manifold the popping on an S thow is an after product of the forced air induction created buy the super charger so is a bit harder to achive on the natural aspertion of a 1.6 cooper without forling out for a full aftermarket system minitorque.com, the site for mini performance, drag racing track days & time attack its all change for the S, to be revealed soon |
