Aftermarket manifold without cat?

Hi guys
Was just wondering if anyone knows somewhere you can buy a manifold without a cat? (cat is what makes it quite expensive mostly) I would ideally like a GTT manifold or janspeed but they both come with cats...and i plan to decat anyway
Cheers

Roland sells a separate cat by-pass pipe, which is one reason his cat is detachable

Yeah i seen that, just seems a lot of money to pay for a new cat when its just going to sit in the garage for a year.

is it really worth losing the cat, Especially as race cats are only have about 20% restriction in them anyway, unless you are an F1 driver i doubt you would notice the difference.

Have you had a word with one of the tuning sponsors on here? As some of the performance manifolds and performance cats are detachable from each other maybe they can sell you just the manifold instead of the manifold and cat. I'm not sure if that would lead to problems though because would it work with the standard CAT???? If not you would need a different CAT (one that works with the manifold) or the DECAT pipe but as stated above that could lead to other headaches.

Have a word with one of the tuning sponors and see what the best option would be.

I actually have the GTT manifold, cat and de-cat pipe. If you are going to run it with the de-cat on the road you will need to swap back to the cat for your MOT or if the Police stop you and check your emmisions. I think they do that when they have those vehicle checkpoints.

Hey

I have asked GTT about buying their manifold with the de-cat pipe they offer and without the cat section, they said that the price would be almost the same as they would be left with a cat..

The thing is the cats are worth around £250-£300 so really they should do the manifold with the de-cat pipe for around £300...... Like lohen offer the Janspeed manifold for Annoying when people get greedy

Give Lohen a call and they will sort you out, otherwise you can get a one piece de-cat manifold from Milltek, which again was around £300, but doesnt give you the flexibility to stick a cat on if you need to, you would have to get it cut up and welded etc..

Hope this helps

Going from a sports cat to a full de-cat is worth around 5-6hp, (compare cost of sports cat to piece of pipe) but going from the standard manifold to a well designed sports manifold, GTT etc, with de-cat you will/DO definately feel the gains, with a good map too...
