GTT Manifold V JCW Motorsport Manifold

Hi

I have an 05 JCW Cooper S and am considering the option of either the GTT manifold or the JCW motorsport manifold. can you advise me of the best. In particular is the JCW manifold better due to a closer match with the JCW head,s exhaust ports than the GTT.

A guy called Venox22 sodl me his GTT manifold so he could buy the JCW one. Would be worth contacting him and asking his opinion as he has tried both.

...also GTT260, (Karl) he sold his JCW to fit the GTT Manifold . For port sizes on the heads check out thread + pics I put up a while ago. The size of the ports on the manifolds (as apposed to the heads) are the same on the GTT & JCW. JCW is only mig welded ,GTT manifold uses tig welding.
Best Regards Roland GTT

so is anyone gonna tell us which is the bhest manifold of the lot. Lhen said the Janspeed was better than the Milltek as the janspeed had larger ports than the Milltek.

I am confused as hell.

Also is it recommended to buy a new Manifold Gasket when changing your manifold??

Yes the Janspeed is good but the GTT one is better. It is made exclusivley for us by.....Janspeed . Even Janspeed will confirm the GTT is better. It should be was designed to be and costs us more than the stock Janspeed item.
-Yes use new gaskets top & bottom.
Best Regards Roland GTT

Bottom gaskets, Doh!!!! I only got top ones, any chance the oother one is a universal one at all.

So is the Milltek any good then Roland, cos i assumed would be best to stick to Milltek if i had the Milltek exhaust already, due to the fact thats what they would have tested it all with???

I was going to get the GTT manifold a couple of months back, ive got a Milltek cat back, and thought it was blowing....turned out to be a hairline crack in the cat grrr! .....could this have been down to the fact that one of my engine mounts went? and thus put undue stress on the manifold/cat? or is it just bad luck? Ive had the small hairline crack welded and its now fine. Im hoping this wont have any negative effects when my MOT is due in a month or so? I.E emissions. Once ive done my brakes (discs and pads alround) paid for the MOT, the GTT manifold is next on my list

No not had any problems with the cat. As to fitting others may be able to answer that as I had mine fitted at GTT by Roland. But i believe it is a straight forward job.
In the vid the Checkmate S is a JCW Works

It will pop and bang more loudly with the JCW than standard GP setup.
