Mini One/Cooper Cylinder Head

Hi there everyone,

Im a bit in a muddle as to what stage of cylinder head to go for! Im looking at both the Big valve cylinder head and the Ported, polished and skimmed cylinder head. I have been told that there isnt much point having the big valve version on a mini one and cooper because there isnt enough air flowing through the engine compared to the cooper S. Im coupling the cylinder head with a performance cam. what are peoples views on this? Has anyone on this forum had this conversion done yet?

Lohen have and now sell it in kit form so you dont have to guess.

We will be offering something sooner rather than later but we will be testing it before we offer anything.

You could have a big valve head but to make use of all that extra cfm you would probably need to rev it to around 10,000, and if you decided to do that you would probably need a forged crank and the S rods and the S gearbox

Good luck with your project.
