MINI COOPER: Fireballed! Widow - Google Video

We've acheived 306bhp on the rollers with our stock engine and a 100 shot of nitrous its also run a 12.16 @114 to back up the horsepower.

We'll be going turbo only at some point this year.

try faq, and look under performance/tuning, if looking to keep stock engine then 250-275 seems to be a sensible stopping point other than throwing a turbo or nitros under the hood
i am sure that 300bhp is not the limit, but would be mine unless building a race/competition car
i have read of an electric mini see attached link , thats also 4 wheel drive and has supercar performance, they are talking over 500 bhp and 80mpg

BBR in the UK claims to have achieved over 300BHP (312 to be exact) with their turbo conversion.

GTT's demo S is about 280 brake atm still on the stock supercharger, they are also about to relase a 300 and 350 turbo conversion that removes the supercharger and runs a specail turbo new water pump and high flow filter

Lohens show S is Bi turbo and should be running up on 320 bhp when done

BBR have a 275 mcs pack and a 300 bhp turbo kit

Hartge now have a 265 kit

^^ none of the above use NOS to achive the power or as part of the conversion

minitorque.com, the site for mini performance, drag racing track days & time attack

its all change for the S, to be revealed soon

Well, i have the GTT260 with a few extra tweaks and this is **** fast !!!! i would not be suprised to achive 5 seconds 0-60.

HOWEVER....

I think the 0-60 is a load of naff. Much prefer the 10-70 thus introducing a rolling start and much kinder to all concerened - more fun too as it removes the need to get your start perfect (tyre grip, clutch, blah blah).

May i ask why you want to know this information anyway? are you looking to "mod to the max", have the fastest car, show it, or race it?

coz depending on your answer, you may opt for anything between 210 and 350 - not all powers suit.

Cheers,
K.

just intrested really no perticular reason i only want o know road legal ones ie not raceing converstions and i only want ones that are packages ie give it to works or give it to lohen or bbr and get it back faster not buy parts and tune it up blah blah
there just ones i saw on top gear a while back

i think it was BBR, Works and Hatage that where on there it looks like 275 is the highest thats with out changing the supercharge to a turbo

thanks

I heard that Alta could do a turbo conversion that would give a theoretical 400bhp but I think its around $4000 plus the fitting and stuff

My mini cooper s works - Radford (which is up for sale by the way) has 265BHP - claimed however I have changed it slightly since maybe more like 240BHP.

TBH - 265BHP is too much for the mini - over about 230BHP it develops talk stear and the chassie becomes questionable. Allow its too much for a front wheel drive car to put down and stear.

Also the mini is not really that Aero dynamic so it slows it also and you need a Limited front slip diff (mainly for track) as it tends to spin a wheel exiting in tight conners with so much power.

THAT said its still great fun and one of the best around the twisty flat stuff (well mine is anyway )

It's also a weight issue 0-60 wise, My old VX220T only had about 200BHP but carbon fiber and rear wheel drive thus 0 to 62 in about 4.7 then when you stage 2 it (235BHP) 0-60 comes in about 4.2

all just an opionion

Radford's have style - 265BHP
