JCW Soundkit remap - remapped?

Evening chaps.

Had the JCW Soundkit fitted a couple of weeks ago at the local dealers. They had the car all day, but I told them I'd be collecting at 4pm. I got there just before 4pm, and having waited for 30 mins there was still no sign of the car, so I got them to chase it up for me. I was told they were having probs with the remap - it was simply taking ages. I waited for another hour and a quarter til it was finally done.

Basically it took 2 hours to go on and I'm assuming that this isn't normal.

I've only recently had chance to get the car on a good run as I work a lot from home, and it just doesn't quite feel right - not punchy enough (it sounds fantastic though!).

So, I guess my question is, can I get my JCW remap, remapped?!

Ask them to re-do the remap if you are not happy. Any decent dealer should do it for you.

Some places will charge £30 for "unnessesary" DME programming but it might be worth the £30 to go elswhere and have it done properly. Don't forget the Soundkit does not actually add much in the way of power, mainly noise...so the feel of the car will be about the same as the stock Cooper (i'm reliably told the change is only about 5-10hp at best). Best bet would be to get a bluefin map to get 130bhp and this coupled with the soundkit noise should make you grin. The JCW upgrades are tad pricey, especially on the Cooper for what they are.

This is the most unprofessional bit of site management I have seen since I was banned from a certain other site...at least they had the excuse that they were enthusiasts who had strong views and not professionals paid to keep thier cool!

If its a faulty map I would hope that BMW would do it out of goodwill.

Bluefin doesn't sit on the JCW Remap. It would need to be MTH if I did subsequently remap again, but the reason I chose the soundkit route was to protect the warranty.
