a question about torque

Last saturday I had my MINI diagnosed in an official testcenter. (VAB)

I was quite satisfied with the roll out ... 86,5kW.
That's equal to app 118BHP. I didn't expect a lot more.

This for a March 2002 build with a standard ECU and AFE filter + original MINI sport exhaust.

The only thing I was a bit astonished was that I only got a torque of 137Nm ??
with a max torque at 5530 min-1 at 149km/h (app. 93 Mph)
The torque curve is rather nice though, not too many waves ...

Could the low result of torque have anything to do with the MINI sport exhaust?
Till shortly (before accident) I used to have a Remus exhaust but changed to the original MINI sport exhaust.

Or is that quite a normal result for a 2002 MINI (almost 5 years old) and more then 100.000km (app. 63000 miles) on the speedo???

Would an upgrade like f.e. bluefin or sparkplugs have a positive impact or would it just be money thrown away?

Any advice?

Well to keep the story short. I guy changed lanes at last second on a motorway exit and I braked but began to spin. I ended up with my rear onto the motorway railing.
Resulted in a full new suspension at the back , 2 new tyres and the exhaust
Remus was a bit damaged but insurance decided to change it... and the dealer gave me a MINI sport exhaust in exchange (not the JCW because of too much backpressure)

Sounds to me like the exhaust is to blame for torque loss, increasing flow is not always a good thing, cam timing, duration and lift are tuned to make use of back pressure.

When they asked to change the Remus to the official MINI Sport Exhaust, I asked if I could get the JCW exhaust instead.
They told me it couldn't be fitted because of too much back pressure and then they would have to change the software too.
It does seem that it looked quicker with my Remus exhaust, or is that just my imagination?
