In Richards defence he's taking the Mini quoted original BHP figure of 90bhp as a starting point, I presume he never had the One on the dyno in stock form.
On a bog standard One Conv we saw on the dyno 74whp @ 4825rpm, with a superchips it made 96whp at 5910, it actually gained 8whp at 4825 over the stock map.
On various Mini One's with tested we've seen a best of 76whp so in that theory Richard has gained 26whp
Our dyno corrects to din, Richard's first session was with a knackered gearbox and if the gearbox is knackered it wont show the run down losses as the TAT sytem believes you are cheating it.
We have started this week putting a demo 6spd Mini One togeather which we will be trying cams cnc heads and different exhaust manifolds on, we will let you know how we get on and I'm sure its going to be a lot harder coaxing horsepower out of a NA engine.
Minipetrohead how did your friend get on with the cyl head back on the rolling road??

Yeah the car has had its engin convresion, and to say the least its rapid!! the only thing is that the mapping isnt finished yet, its fine all the way up to 5700rpm or so then after that its running lean, it wasnt finished because the rolling road at MiniSpeed broke so he has to go back there to get it sortted out.
Its running 240bhp at the moment but he was told that he should get 250bhp when the mapping is finished. He is currently waiting to get his hands on the face lift model supercharger with the teflon coated blades before he has the remap done, also he has a set of JCW injecters that are going to be fitted soon.
With my mini im umming are arrring about whether to get a light weight fly wheel first of wait and get the head and cam done and then at a later date get the fly wheel done. how much of a difference does the flywheel make to the One and Cooper?
Ours made 220whp and 250bhp with the stock ecu and 380 JCW and if anyhing it was a tad rich, we still got more left in there to find hopefully next week.
I was actually asking about his sisters car with the head.
As for the flywhell you wont gain any hp but the engine will rev quicker, I know it doesn't make sense. I would personally go for the cam and head in theory but we will see in the coming weeks what works and what doesn't.
