Mini One/Cooper Miltek exhaust silencer

Hi there everyone,

Wondering if someone could shed some light? I have a Milltek exhaust fitted to my Mini One, its got the centre silencer on it just after the cat, i want the exhaust to be a little louder as i cant hear it, all i hear is induction noise.

By removing the silencer will i gain power or loose power? also how much louder would it actually by?

Alex

Bring it up we'll dyno it then chop it off and dyno it again, then leave it off or put it back on.

I would guess that you wont see any gains apart from decibels.

arent these mid pipe silncer boxes usualy there to reduce vibration at high rpm and have no effect on the horses at all as millteck are not ones to go sapping power on purpose out of their kit

minitorque.com, the site for mini performance, drag racing track days & time attack

its all change for the S, to be revealed soon
