| Lets hope Roland isnt reading..... ![]() ![]() Well its all down to you really, When i first got my MCS that what i wanted the GTT 210 but the distance and getting the time off work was a nightmare, so i went and ordered the parts from Lohen and got them fitted locally by reputable company. The parts i have is 15% Alta Pulley, Alta 2% Crank pulley, NGK Plugs, Lohen Stop bar i didnt need a smaller belt so i got a new one from the dealer as the crank pulley raises the size from it being reduced from the pulley. I now have a JCW Remap JCW Zaust, Janspeed Manifold and an Alta CAI and from having the other MOD's then adding these two, the have made the biggest improvement IMO seems odd i no but they just have overall on the daily driving and performance of the car. I now outrun my mates in a skoda VRs (not racing) A 17% Pulley will probably give you around 15 - 20 Bhp (Stated) but it will slightly differ from car to car, the plugs wont add anything just make it smoother etc and are sort of a must when upgrading the pulley just make sure there a colder set! Well my car still has 6 months cherished warrenty left on it and even tho ive added alot of mods it running absolutely smashing with all these on! Scott |

| Mate. I have a milly manifold, exhaust and alta intake on mine. Pulley (15%) on too and there been no issues, plus I have a home made bypass mod similar to the GTT one. The majority power hike on the s comes from the pulley, manifold, intake and intercooler. Its sounds as iff you don't fancy the idea of non standard intake IC and manifolds and the bypass valve alteration to me. My suggestion for you for decent power without huge insurance would be this. Alta V2 15% recuced pulley + colder sparks JCW works airbox (consider the GTT insert thats available for this, you can get the airbox through BMW if your clever or off ebay easy to fit too) GP (not JCW) Intercooler Then if you want opt for a manifold and maybe some bigger injectors (JCW) to again help be safe at high revs to stop some of the leaning that can occur). I would expect that set-up to give you very close to GP 218 BHP power and defo 210. The mod to the bypass is pretty safe and would mean your even more likely to get to close to the GP figure or more. If you fit GP IC and JCW intake then your keep safe "standard" parts so there a touch less risk and a bit more safety. Lohen or GTT will do a bespoke package for you....I'm sure that either would be happy to help work on aquiring JCW intakes and GP intercoolers with you too if you came unstuck. However to obtain these all you really need to do is befriend a person with a GP and/or a JCW and then use their chassis number/reg when ordering the parts |

| ..we have 15% pulleys if you prefer to lose some low/mid torque. The bypass mod we can leave out if you want to waste fuel and lose typ 5-10bhp, (its actually an adjustment to make it perform corectly , rather than modding it) and the tensioner stop & pulley are optional if you dont want to increase the belt life and protect the crank pulley,and like being stranded by the side of the road awaiting recovery. In essence these upgrades make the car more reliable than standard, with cost effective upgrading at the same time as a GTT210-240 .I think your completly misunderstanding, give me a ring if your concerned about anything. Our conversions do not create a surge.(none whatsoever ). You will not have any problems relating to the conversion (guaranteed),lastly dont worry ,you wont find anyone more fastidious than us. | The 17% pulley will spin the supercharger faster and generate more heat than the 15%, it will however create more boost lower down, thogh when it gets in the upper rpm the intaake temps go up which kill hp (need to do some back to back tests on a 15 17 19 when we get 5mins) People here and more so in the USA have done loads of miles on 15% 17% 19% without a problem. When researching remember to see what blower is on the car because there is a difference in horsepower & psi between early and late. We do fit any combo of parts GTT / Lohen and in whatever stage the customer wants, i.e pulley 1 month, exhaust manifold next month. All we care about is you go out with more horsepower than you arrived with. We can dyno your car before and after the part has been fitted so you can see how much horsepower you've gained for your hard earned money. We have had very good results on the dyno and on the track with the stock ecu. | Coooooooperslad - I think you are getting the wrong impression of GTT here! I admit that I am having a problem with my car which is yo-yoing but I firmly believe that it has nothing to do with the mods. It probably has been there all the time but since the car is running far smoother now (apart from the blip I've mentioned) it makes it more noticeable. Vroooom Vroooom |

| Okay its all just very confusing as both Lohen and GTT contridict each other. I asked lohen about fitting a 17% pulley in their package instead of a 15% but they said they did not recommend it as they dont have a map designed to suit, where as the GTT210 does not even include a map but uses a 17% pulley. |

| Hi, no its necessary not and TBH with many GTT220s we dont need to remap (price is reduced) either, and this is not compromising anything .With GTT220 and above we take copys of the stock map so if the customer has other mods that warrant a remap in the future (eg cams) ,then we can prepare in advance and install in 10 minutes. We can take a copy of your map for you too if you like (no charge for this) .On most smaller pulley cars there is nothing to be gained from it except maybe a couple of BHP above 7000rpm achieved by raising the rev limit.- Something I'd advise against anyway .-Stock map is very adaptable MUCH more than even I would have believed a year or so ago. | I think you are missing the point...... the yoyo affect is nothing to do with the GTT conversion..... it does not cause it. GTT’s reputation should give you all the reassurance you need...... however if you are a worrier by nature then best stick with a non modified car….. any modification requires you to trust your tuning company / mechanic. I personally would not hesitate to get a conversion done by GTT. Cheers Perm ![]() |

| I had my car converted by GT Tuning (220+) in November 2006; no sign of yo-yo or any other problems. GTT, GRS, Janspeed, JCW, OMP + various other bits - 232.6bhp, 191.2lbft on 1320's rolling road |
