Has anyone had their GTT210/220 Dyno'd?

Looking into taking my car down to 1320 autos for a Rolling Road session just to make sure all the fueling is ok and out of intrest a BHP figure (may also get the GRS i/c fitted)

Just wondering if anyone has taken their GTT 210 or 220 on a decent rolling road and what figures they got?

Oh and when I say decent, I mean one with the correct transmission loss etc... I had my car on a rolling road at Powerstation in Tewksbury and got 192bhp as standard :s.

Cheerzo

Took mine up there a while back, included a R/R session with a service & check up.

Thoroughly recommended, great bunch of guy's who know what they're talking about & really look after your car.

Loads of free coffee as well

Oh yeah, 210bhp on the rollers

Hi, your best bet iif you realy want to is use the same RR as before, to get a comparison. One guy on Mini addictions GTT220 came out at 258bhp!
Another guys modified S (not GTT) gave 227bhp on one RR then the next day with no changes at the RR shootout at Milway came out IIRC around 197bhp....! -The same RR day mine came out at 270bhp.
JCW210's usually measure 195ish bhp...and charge £3500 to be 15bhp down on claimed power.
....As you can see often all it does is make you either jump up & down with joy or worry guts and moan...Just enjoy the thing.

Best Regards Roland GTT

Ah Cheers, Roland to the rescue again.

Also Roland, is there any way that my car could start pinking more than it used to? I've been using 99 octane now solidly basically since the conversion but I'm sure the engine sounds different under WOT in 2nd, 3rd and 4th than it used? Or it might just be in my head

Ok roland! Also what % tranmission loss should a rolling road be set at?

I've got to make a decision now what to do with the car next, eibachs and GTT strutbrace, GRS intercooler, cai and remap or some interior goodies

The RR decides on transmission loss by calculating it from the rolldown after the power run mate. Its not something you set. 1320 will have all the right stuff set on their RR for a FWD MINI with XYZ wheels etc....leave it to them chap. Just rememeber that no RR is very accurate. The only way to check is on the track against other stuff or drag strip or against stuff on the same day. They are best used as a comparitor for new parts, especially if you have one before and one done after fitting but on the same day.

Ok cheers, I thought powerstation's figure of 192bhp was wrong because of the transmission loss being out? that was just a rumour then!

Still dont understand why it came up with that figure then.

What torque figures would you expect to get with the GTT conversions?

This is more out of interest rather than anything else.

At Millway, my GT210 produced 214bhp and 184lb/ft on the same day that Roland's car got 270bhp and JCW 210s were in the region of 207bhp for comparison. Personally I wouldn't waste money running your car on the dyno unless you plan to tune it at the same time?

Cheers,

Henry

Using the same RR to compare before and after modding is useful, but otherwise I'm not bothered by going to them at all. I would rather see what the car does on a track in real life conditions. Might get mine on a RR some time just to see. Then I can at least track how much torque each mod adds to the car in the future.

Just so you know, I found my MINI makes lots of noises that any other car I have owned didnt make. Being a slighly paranoid chap I had quite a few MINI people and MINI machanics check it over. Turns out it does just make lots of different noises.
