Mini In The Park 07 Weigh-In

We have just had it confirmed from Mark Norton of the Drag Racing Tech Comittee that the corner scales will be available at the Pod from 10am on the 19th August for BMW Mini owners.

This means you will be able to see how much real world horsepower your car makes on the 19th. Please remember it's the mph that dictates the horsepower of the vehicle not ET (elapsed time - or how quickly you go from start to finish) The et is changeable dependant on the car and driver's efficiency.

We'll have the formula available for you so you can calculate your figures at the track; so all you'll need is the car's weight with you in it and a time ticket ...

We have some other interesting news for BMW Mini owners which we'll let you know about over the next couple of days

And as the famous phrase goes: When the green light drops the b.s. stops

Actually you dont have to Loui unless you want your best et, for every 100lbs of weight removed is equal to 1/10th in ET.

We'll be running a top ten but not on ET / MPH but on horsepower instead.

Yeay! If I get there then I'll be with bhozar and will be getting scaled!

Have to start getting some weight out of the car though so she stands a better chance of hitting the 100mph!

Good luck hitting 100mph! I know a Skyline owner that consistantly gets 99.99mph, and cant break 100mph. He will be very upset if one of our MINI's did it!

He just needs to take out the AC, remove the brakes, run 15" wheels, replace the roof with a piece of plastic, replace the glass with plastic, and remove all the back of his lights.

Oh, and take a really big poop. See, no problem!

Laugh all you want but you will be green with envy when you see my carbon panels that arrived yesterday to replace the sunroof glass Just got to find the time and balls to take the glass off the rails and offer the carbon up to the rails

:P

I can see an Intercooler and head being bolted on before hand too .... lets say the pin has arrived for my Amex
