Firstly a big thank you to 1320 for a quality afternoon at the strip. Secondly, great to meet the other Mini owners for a bit of banter... I can't believe I made 173 BHP on Loui! That manifold really does the job
Loui, bad luck mate, it'll happen to all of us at some stage but it was good to see everyone rally round (esp 1320) to sort the problem.
Now i've popped my drag strip cherry I can't wait for the next event.
There was another completly stock Mini S (a later model) on the track, the blue one with the blonde driving ( the Essex boys will remember
) who in the hands of her male mate was running low 17's with a top speed quite a bit lower than mine, so it just goes to show what a few additions can do if done right.
I presume the gearing will help too on the newer cars? I was crossing the line on the limiter in 3rd!
Congrats to the Essex mob on winning the coin and great to meet all you Mini owners!
