Smelly air!

After having a manual aircon on yesterday in my 51 plate Cooper I notcied that when i turned the aircon off and left just the cold air blowing there was quite a bad smell coming through the vents. Is this easily sorted by just cleaning something? If so what exactly do i need to do?

Any help would be spot on.

Thanks

James

I used to have a smelly a/c... it's a known thing in the MINI's and it has to do with a filter that's in the a/c I think.....Mine was replaced during my last service... so no more nasty smell!

If the world didn't suck we'd all fall off!

its mildew/damp in the air con tubes. you can buy cleaning kits from the likes of halfords to clear this up or try running the air con on max speed & full heat for 5-10 mins to dry out the system
