His car is the same as mine really inside apart from it has full leather and has steering wheel buttons etc. This shouldnt make that much of a difference, should it?

Is 15.5 an ok time, when he has done 15% pulley, manifold, re route pipe, air filter and plugs?

Alex

this is the difference.... not much in it when i got 14.8 something.

A 15.5 @ 90.73 and a 14.8 94.19 mph are a world apart if he weighed exactly the same as you on the day you have produced 15bhp more than him.

Which does re-confirm the point regarding quoted bhp kits i.e early v late superchargers

Post up the rest of his time ticket if he doesn't mind

No none of us were power shifting, every time i changed gear i would let off, clutch in, into next gear and so on, obviously as fast as i could (though the funny thing is i cant remember changing from 1st into 2nd on any of the runs. Guess i was just that focused on getting to the other end!

My Mini has done 30500 miles, and his has done 50000 but had his supercharger replaced last year.

Will this make a difference then?

Im not sure which supercharger it was replaced with, as it was done under warrenty by the dealers.

We've seen a min of 8hp diff between a greycoat and teflon supercharger, if it was replaced recently I would presume that it was a teflon, he did have his pulley fitted after they rep;aced the supecharger??

If it is a teflon he should have a health check and see how much boost he has etc etc

He was on 99 not 95?

Yeah its running on Tesco 99, i think it may be wise of him to get a health check etc, where can he get that done?

The pulley was fitted only 2 weeks ago, and was only as fast as mine at the lower speeds when i had just the manifold on.

When im a passenger in the car it feels really fast!

Its one of those situations that both john and i cant get out heads around!

Could it be to do with the cheep manifold from ebay which is on there? (this is what we thought so he did some over time at work and ordered the MiniMania manifold like i have got) so we can see if that makes a difference!?

On the standard car what gains in both torque and hp did you get from the ebay manifold and MiniMania manifold?

Alex

Wehaven't tested them back to back so if he wants to come up and dyno then have the MM one fitted and re-dyno, no problem we can do a health check as well.
