The Bluefin is clever enough to recognise the chassis number, we'll be able to tune the ecu shortly

You'll be hard press to find a nicer bloke than Steve, I sometimes forget what a legend he is as well, cant be to many racers had a toy company made a limited edition of his old 9 sec street car

FORD CORTINA MK I. JOHN WOOLFE RACING | levné,koupit, prodej

I'll have alook at his data logger and see what his 30-70 is next time I'm round there, I know his 0-172 is in 7.82 as long as he doesnt scrape the wall

Finally managed to try this out.

Mini Cooper S ‘05 + John Cooper Works (JCW) 210hp Package +other modifications
- Mini Madness JCW intake filter kit (+flap mod)
- JCW catback flat section removal
- GTT Exhaust Manifold
- GTT +3% Overdrive Crank shaft pulley
- GTT Modified bypass valve
- GTT Intercooler + Snoot boots
- Custom ECU tune

=> Avg of best test pairs: 6.6s (measured with G-Tech using the speed chart feature).

So the results are well in line with the the disappointing dyno results that both Aberdeen Al (here) and I (here) posted earlier.

I also tested 50-75 on 4th as these are figures quoted by BMW. I got 5.4s (4.2s on 3rd). BMW quotes 5.5s for R56 MCS.

Other than that, this is an interesting thread, shouldn't it be sticky?

My custom ECU tune was done by a local shop here in Warsaw, Kreator Mocy (hope your Polish is better than mine). They are clearly not a MINI specialist, there is simply no market here for such an offering. But they have done various quite interesting custom projects, including this.

As stated in the other thread, I was quite pleased with the deltas achieved with the tune. But the initial pre-tune dyno results (194hp/222Nm @ crank ) suggest that there is something else slowing down the buggy.

Sam, dont forget to try and work out what max speed you can record on the G-tech in 3rdbefore hitting the rpm limiter, say its 90, you can then see if you make any gains in horsepower at the top end as well.

Yup, that exactly. Close to a mile long and as wide as a highway.

I dunno if this counts.. but I did from 70-110 mph in 4 seconds... but this was in my previous set up before the front mount...

I'll get out and check the 30 - 70 ASAP..
