I agree the Nankangs are not the best tyre when it comes to damp/wet roads but they are very predictable when they do start to slide. I've had no problems in the dry and found them very good for the price I paid.

Before I got the Nankangs I did have Toyo's, avon's and goodyears all of which are great in the wet but then they do cost more and don't last as long. I decided to try the Nankangs as I was feed up with the cost of replaceing the tyres each year so wanted something a bit more hard wearing and cheaper.

Still on my first set of Nankangs a whole year and 25K miles later. They seem to last really well Wet grip isnt amazing but is prodictable so you can plan and slide about to your hearts content. But in the dry as I found at Castle Combe they just stick to the road

The older spec gearbox like mine does easily hit 70 in 2nd on the speedo but its not accurate as I found out when I strapped the gps gear on.

Well.... the best average I can get is around 5 seconds... I would never drive the car from 30 in 3rd... that's WAAAAY too low in the RPM band.. so basically from 45 mph my tires light up... I need sticky tires... I have very hard tires on there

ho hum...

as soon as I get the cash... I'll get me some proper tires...

for now I stick with my 70-110

it did infact... I worked with Hubie for about two years or so... building MINIs, even the MINI USA car (now the furball car)...

from day one with my car it was a modified kit cause I knew where I wanted to be in the end... so we built it that way... the FMIC is the last thing I did... a year ago now...

there's nothing to give away... what I did isnt' magic...

air filter.... nope... Air horns yep! from a F355 WOO!!
