Had a GTT manifold fitted at the weekend which I’m really pleased with.
Has anyone noticed a slight increase in noise as the manifold beds in? I’m sure its got slightly louder, which is not a bad thing.
I know cat-back exhaust systems often do this.
Could it be down to the recent drop in outside temp or a change in fuel (V-Power to Super Tesco)?
Still really please with it

Ive had my GTT manifold 2 months now and it does get louder as it beds in. It should stay the same after a few weeks. Ive got mine with the milltek catback and it sounds awesome. Really pleased with it.
Real headturner
I think its down to the linings getting covered in soot. I am led to believe it also increases performance slightly. Can someone confirm what i'm saying or is it nonsense ???
Often seems as the silencers pass more sound as they get full of carbon deposits over time. The sound is likely to increase as the exhaust gases increase in temp as has been seen with Tesco 99.
That would make sense ... I had V-Power in for the first tank and Tesco 99 in now I'll see what happens next time I put V-Power in. Either way it sounds great

same set up GTT front, milltek.back
after couple of weeks rasppy sound stops and turns into much deeper note, will sound rasppy when cold, but stick with it good combo, gives good free flow and only really gets going @3000 rpm. so can just burble along below 3000rpm. sounds a bit drone like at constant 90mph, in sixth, but at 70mph in sixth sounds almost stock.
however drop it down a couple of gears, flooor it hard, and the harmony of the induction kit, followed by the super charger whine coupled with the back box note is just awesome!
